Queen Annapolisa LXXIX was crowned in Wolfville May 27.  Princess Hantsport, Kelsey Carey, will reign over the 79th Apple Blossom Festival and the coming year. The 19-year-old daughter of Cathy and Randy Carey of Hantsport, Kelsey Carey is entering her third year at Acadia University this fall, where she is studying English and History. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher.

Her First Lady-in-Waiting is Princess Berwick, Keshia Timmons, and her Second Lady-in-Waiting is Princess Annapolis Royal, Carrie Murray.

    Excellent, job well done by all of the young ladies who took part in the Apple Blossom Queen Annapolisa Pagent. It takes courage and a lot of confidence to participate in an event like this and I think that these young ladies will be wonderful role models for our youth.
