Sip.Chat.Connect is under construction.
The popular networking sessions that started in Windsor about a year ago, and expanded to Wolfville and Kentville, are on hold until March while the organizing committee behind the mix and mingle meetings makes some changes.
Founder Charles Aubie, of Speedpro Signs & Imaging, is using feedback provided by participants to plan fun, and effective, Sip.Chat.Connect sessions for 2013.
“The big change will be sometimes, rather than having a meeting, we may make it more activity based,” said Aubie, who listed Martock, museums and local wineries as potential venues for future meetings.
Until now, Sip.Chat.Connect groups have held casual meet and greets at T.A.N. Coffee in Windsor on a monthly basis.
Aubie says Sip.Chat.Connect will not be leaving the coffeehouse entirely, but the venue, and nature of future meetings, will change from time to time once the restructured Sip.Chat.Connect model is launched in Windsor March 28.
The objective of Sip.Chat.Connect is to bring people together to talk about their businesses, learn about the products and services available in an area and, above all else, make connections.
“It’s important that we get together because, to me, that’s part of forming a very strong business community,” says Aubie.
Sip.Chat.Connect sessions are also in the works for Greenwood and East Hants. More information will be announced in March.
