Mystery driver disappears leaving stolen truck in Avon River

At about 6:30 am on March 9 the department of transportation discovered a green 4X4 Dodge truck partly submerged in the Avon River along Highway 14 in Mill Section. Windsor Rural RCMP, along with Windsor Fire Department and Emergency Health Services were called to the scene. However, there was no driver or other individual to be found. RCMP later learned that the vehicle involved was reported as stolen out of the Annapolis county region on March 7.

The investigation into the matter continues between Windsor Rural and Middleton RCMP detachments.
