This weekend in Windsor is to be a busy one, for the Windsor Gyro Club, who’ll play host to the Gyro District No. 6 Convention on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, August 30, 31 and September 1. The District embraces all the Clubs in the Maritimes.
Word has just been received from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, that Miss Edith Burchell’s pupil; Diana Elizabeth Turner’s mark in the recent exam for grade 1 piano was the highest mark in the province. Her mark was tied with one other candidate. This entitles her to the Conservatory Silver Medal, which she will receive in the fall.
A meeting instructed the Town Solicitor A.G. MacDonald to redraft the agreement between the Town of Windsor and the Municipality of West Hants concerning the responsibility for the sewer from the School to Wentworth Road.

Messrs. Geo V. Smith, James Weatherbed and Arthur Whalen were in Halifax on Tuesday night attending the Annual Meeting of the Nova Scotia Rifle Association.
The Elmsdale Hotel, a landmark at Elmsdale, Hants County for 80 years, was removed from the landscape last night by flames believed to be of incendiary origin. The fire will be probed. The hotel, which was constructed at the time the railway was constructed here, has been in use since the provincial government bought it in 1931.
