The musical talents of more than three dozen acts delighted Hants County residents Dec. 4 as part of the eight-hour Christmas Angels Telethon.

The annual concert — now in its 35th year — raises funds for the Christmas Angels Society, a volunteer-based organization that helps families in need have a happy holiday.

This year, $30,943 was raised during the show. The winning bid of the special sou-wester went to Nu-Air Ventilation with a donation of $5,200.

Since its inception, more than 23,800 children have benefited from the generosity of individuals and businesses donating to Christmas Angels.

Those who made pledges are asked to honour them at the CIBC or Royal Bank in Windsor, Scotiabank in Hantsport, or at Victory Credit Union in Windsor, Brooklyn, Kempt and Kennetcook. Anyone who still wishes to donate can do so at any of the financial institutions listed above.
