Members of the Riverview Skating Club presented their rendition of the Lion King during their special 2013 ice show. Held Jan. 19 and Jan. 20 in Brooklyn, the show featured all of the children involved with the club, from beginners to competitive skaters. The main cast consisted of: Simba (Emma Bishop), Nala (Jessica Lake-Crossley), Rafiki (Kayley Butler), Scar (Nicole Leary), Zazu (Allison Power), Timon (Alison Dill), Pumba (Mia Sim), Mufasa (Lisa Indris), Mufasa’s spirit (Danielle Pettipas-Munroe), Sarabi (Sharlie Pinksen), Sarafina (Briana Sexton), Shenzi (Chelsea Beaulieu), Banzai (Francesca Cornetta), Ed (Shay Vouligny), Simba cub (Alyssa Cross) and Nala cub (Chloe Harvie).

The Riverview Eclipse synchronized skating teams also showcased their moves during the performance.

The performance marked the last one for three of the club’s skaters as they were graduating from the program: Kayley Butler, Emma Bishop and Jessica Lake-Crossley.
