Important WHMS update!

It was announced today, June 12 that students of West Hants Middleschool will return to school next week at a alternate location. The Annapolis Valley Reginal School Board has posted alternate locations commencing Wednesday, June 12. Grades 7 and 8 students are asked to take the bus to the WHMS as usual, Monday, June 15 to collect their belonging and participate in a short assemly with an early dismissal at 10 am.

On tuesday, June 16 grade 9 students will follow the same schedual.

The Board askes parents to contact the school to make arrangments to pick up their childs belongins if he or she is unable to attend on those date.

Full day classes will resume for WHMS students on Wednesday, June 17. Grade 7 students will go to Kings Edgehill School and grades 8 and 9 students will attend Avon View High School. Their regular teachers will be teaching them at these locations.

Busses will run on the dates noted and if there are any changes in morning pick up times, the information will be provided by Tuesday.

Students will receive a letter when they are at school – on Monday for grades 7 and 8, and Tuesday for grade 9 - that provides details about which room their class will be in, class schedules, dates for events in the remainder of the school year, and a reminder to bring their lunch and snacks as there will be no food service available.

The Annapolis Valley Regional School Board will be holding an information meeting for parents and guardians of West Hants Middle School at Avon View High School on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. Included in the meeting’s agenda will be plans for the coming school year.
