More than 100 voices celebrated the 79th Apple Blossom Festival in song May 24 at the Wolfville Baptist Church.  Festival artistic advisor Tony Stephenson conducted seven choirs singing Rachel MacLean and Jamie Robinson’s “A Time to Celebrate,” written to commemorate the 75th Festival in 2007. Pereaux Baptist Church’s junior and senior choirs, Port Williams, Somerset and Wolfville school choirs; the Valley Voices and Dukes of Kent and MacLean all performed from their repertoires, then joined, with a few volunteer voices, to fill the church with “Celebrate.”  Via video, the choirs and audience were also treated to a performance of the festival song performed by choirs in the United Kingdom.

To read more about the performance, read "Voices raised in Valley song."
