Fatal accident near Falmouth

Annapolis Valley Traffic Services is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 4:37 Saturday, Dec. 27, in Falmouth, Hants County. An eastbound pick up truck lost control on the slushy highway, crossing the road, crashing into a guardrail. The driver, a 45 year old, Halifax area woman died at the scene. An 18 year old male passenger was injured and later transferred to the QEII hospital with unknown injuries.

A Traffic Collision re-constructionist was at the crash scene. Preliminary investigation suggests poor weather conditions contributed to the crash.
