A portion of Gerrish Street was closed to traffic for several hours this morning, July 27, as police investigated a theft at the Windsor Pharmasave. At approximately 9:14 a.m. the Windsor District RCMP responded to a call of a robbery in progress at the store.

 

RCMP spokesperson, Cst. Andy Harris, said according to reports a quantity of prescription drugs were taken from the premises. RCMP later arrested an adult female and an adult male in relation to the incident.

 

Police cannot confirm if any weapon was used during the robbery or where the suspects were apprehended. No charges have been laid. Investigation into the matter is continuing.
