A 16-year-old Hants County girl is in hospital following a single vehicle crash in Barr Settlement Sunday.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m., March 24, on the Barr Settlement Road.
“The car went off the road and hit a tree,” said Sgt. Craig Burnett, of the Enfield RCMP detachment.
The girl, an East Hants resident whose identity is not being released, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the QEII Hospital in Halifax. She was in the vehicle with a 15-year-old boy, who was treated at a hospital in Truro.
The girl is in stable condition, but requires additional surgeries, Burnett said.
A traffic analyst is still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
