The Windsor Fire Department reponded to a fire at the Kiko video, Smart C and Infrared Saunas complex on Wed., April 22. Officer DC Wile said the alarm at the Water St. buisness sounded late that afternoon. Upon arrival there was heavy smoke visible. The fire was discovered once firefighters broke through a locked door at the rear of the building.
The Hantport and Brooklyn Fire Departments were on stand by for mutual aid by the fire was quickly extinguished. Nova Scotia Power was also called to the scene. Crews were dispatched to check the rest of the complex for fire extension with thermal imaging equipement. The scene was given the all clear shortly after five pm.
