Charges have been laid in connection with a single vehicle accident that left three Hants County locals with serious injuries.
Firefighters had to use Jaws of Life extraction tools to free the driver of the car and his passengers, a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old girl, from the vehicle once it veered off of the North Noel Road around 10 p.m. Oct. 20.
As of Nov. 22, the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Devin Miller, of Moose Brook, was charged with breaching an undertaking and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm in relation to the crash.
“There is no definitive answer as to the cause of the crash,” said Sgt. Craig Burnett, of the Enfield RCMP.
“Speed was a factor, along with unfavourable weather conditions at the time. Alcohol was also a causal factor.”
Miller is scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court Feb. 4.
