Windsor savours Summer Fest fun

The scorching summer sun didn’t deter visitors from taking part in Windsor West Hants Summer Fest activities Aug. 3-5. Children involved with Windsor Recreation programs took to the streets Aug. 4 to promote the fun activities available. 1 width:500px;height:411px From royalty to cartoon characters and everything in between, the fourth annual Windsor West Hants Summer Fest parade featured a wide variety of floats for people to admire. Cory Sanford, of the Windsor Knights, mans the barbecue early Sunday morning. The Knights hosted a weekend barbecue at the Sam Slick Coach House as a fundraiser for the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League team. They also held a washer toss tournament. 21 height:500px;width:333px Nine-year-old Fraser Murray, of Scotch Village, knows his way around a track. The pre-teen racer has been competing with the Atlantic Motorsports Karting Association since he was seven. He’s currently leading the novice division (ages eight to 12) in points this year.
