WINDSOR, N.S. — Although Avon View High School had to change up their prom plans this year, it didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the students attending the formal dance.

Construction on Gerrish Street caused Avon View's prom parade to be rerouted on June 10. Despite this, folks still came out and lined the streets to wave to the students and snap photographs.

Students, dressed in fine attire, either drove or were chauffeured around town. There were countless classic cars and sports vehicles in the parade, plus some unusual sights – like a boat and a dump.

Avon View's prom was held at the Brooklyn Civic Centre.

King's-Edgehill School's prom is slated for June 16.
