Rash of break and enters reported in Hants County

HANTS COUNTY - A Lower Sackville man stands accused of breaking into several Hants County businesses in June.

Christopher Travis Kollmann, 21, is facing a total of 16 charges for a string of allegations relating to incidents said to have occurred between June 15 and July 5.

The charges include seven counts of possession of stolen property, seven break and enter with the intent to commit an offence charges , one theft of a motor vehicle charge and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

It is alleged Kollmann stole a 2014 Ford F150 from the BD Stevens property in Brooklyn July 4. The remaining possession of stolen property charges involve tools, a FLIR camera, a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff.

Police are also alleging Kollmann broke into the Surf Restaurant in Hantsport June 22, the Rawdon Gold Mines Store June 29, Central Tire Ltd. on Highway 215 in Noel June 30 and the Uniacke Pub on Highway 1 in Mount Uniacke June 30.

The additional break and enter charges relate to incidents alleged to have occurred at the Bluenose Pawn Shop in Stewiacke, and Valley Convenience on Salmon River Road in Colchester County.

The dangerous operation of a motor vehicle charge was issued in relation to an incident in Cheverie July 5.
