Investigation continues following fatal fire in South Rawdon

SOUTH RAWDON, N.S. — Details on the tragic fire that occurred on South Rawdon Road remain scarce as the investigation continues to unfold.

RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Clarke said the only update they could provide at this time is that an autopsy on the victim is taking place on April 4.

Police have not yet confirmed the victim’s identity, age or gender.

It was reported on April 3 that one person perished in a fire and three children were rescued.

The call for assistance came in around 9:12 a.m. that morning.

The investigation is continuing.
