Tasha Nicole Farmer, 36, is charged with inducing a man with threats to expose an extramarital affair with the intent to obtain $2,700. She’s also charged with threatening to publish a defamatory libel - a notice of an extramarital affair - on Facebook, with the intent to extort money from a man. It’s alleged that she also threatened to post signs around the man’s neighbourhood and to “place an article in the Hants County Journal”, now known as the Valley Journal-Advertiser.
Farmer was scheduled to appear in Windsor provincial court Jan. 3 but was not present. The Crown sought a public interest warrant for Farmer’s arrest, which was granted.
It’s alleged that Farmer committed the offences in Windsor between Aug. 29 and Dec. 3, 2016. The charges have not been proven in court.
