The Crown made
an application to have Morgan’s conditional release revoked. He had been
released from custody in September on several charges stemming from July 2016,
on his own recognizance with conditions and a $2,000 cash deposit.

Crown was also opposed to Morgan’s release on his most recent charges. Evidence
was presented at a bail hearing and Morgan’s release was denied.
He will be held
in custody on a due course of law remand until his next court appearance Jan.
12 for election and plea on the most recent charges and a status report
regarding Morgan’s trial on his earlier charges.
According to a
news release, the Kings District RCMP responded to an assault complaint in
Waterville at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 3. Police observed the
suspect driving his truck and attempted to stop him but the man
refused to do so.
3:40 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP observed the suspect’s vehicle and attempted
to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 103 near Mahone Bay. Again, the suspect
failed to stop. Following this, the suspect was seen driving on Highway 3 in
Western Shore, where he again refused to stop for police.
p.m., the RCMP, with assistance from the RCMP Police Dog Service,
located the suspect on an ATV trail in the Gold River area in Lunenburg
County. He was arrested without incident and taken into custody.
facing more charges in other provincial court jurisdictions stemming from
incidents alleged to have occurred on Jan. 3, in Kings County, he’s charged
with dangerous driving and failing to comply with his undertaking. It’s alleged
that Morgan committed these offences in Auburn.
charged with several other offences in Kings County, including two counts of
assault; two counts of uttering a death threat; attempting to choke a woman
using his hands around her neck and two more counts of failing to comply with
his undertaking. It’s alleged that he committed these offences in Waterville on
Nov. 13 and Dec. 30, 2016.
earlier charged with arson - intentionally causing damage by fire to a vehicle
parked near a Bowlby Park Drive residence - two counts of failing to comply
with an undertaking and prowling at night on a residential property. It’s alleged
that Morgan committed these offences in Greenwood on July 25, 2016.
Morgan is also
charged with criminal harassment. It’s alleged that he committed this offence
in Kingston between July 7 and 13, 2016.
Morgan have not been proven in court.
