27-year-old woman identified as victim of South Rawdon fire

SOUTH RAWDON, N.S. — RCMP said in an emailed statement that the deceased person found at the scene of a fire in South Rawdon is a 27-year-old woman.

Her remains were found in a garage at the scene.

Cpl. Jennifer Clarke said that the RCMP has concluded its examination of the scene. However, the RCMP Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the death.

The fire was first reported on the morning of April 3, where two children were also rescued.
