Games will be in Spryfield March 4 and back in Windsor on March 5 at 7 p.m.

After defeating the Attack in all six regular season games and the opener of their playoff series in Windsor on Feb. 24, the River Rats were finally defeated. On Feb. 25, in Spryfield, the Attack won the second game of the Best of Seven playoff series by a score of 2-1.

The game was a tight defensive battle throughout with Spryfield outshooting the River Rats by a slim margin — 38-37.

Carter MacMullin played a steady game between the pipes, allowing only two goals on the 38 shots he faced.

Spryfield opened the game’s scoring less than three minutes into the game on a power-play goal.  Samuel Plourde tied it for the River Rats with 3:33 to play in the first. There was no scoring in the second.

Spryfield connected for the game winner on the power-play with 8:59 remaining in the game.

The winner of this series plays the winner of the Metro Jaguars-Eastern Shore Thunder series, which Metro currently leads 3-0, for the Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey Championship title and a berth in the Maritime North Junior Hockey Championship slated for Springhill in April.
