Apple M3 MacBook Pro and iMac: Price, Release Date and How to Pre-order

It may have been Apple’s event the evening before Halloween, but while none of these new Macs are radically different, the new generation of M-series chips is nothing to sneeze at. The $1,299 iMac shows that Apple hasn’t completely forgotten about its all-in-one desktop (even if it continues to dash our hopes for another 27-inch model). The new $1,599 MacBook Pro 14 with M3, meanwhile, makes the laptop stand out Good ports And attainable (albeit with less RAM). Then there’s the $1,999 MacBook Pro 14 and the $2,499 MacBook Pro 16, both of which get an annual and entirely welcome spec bump.

All of these computers are slated to be released in November, with most of them landing on the 7th. We’ll have to see how useful these small improvements are when we review the new Max, but for now, you can reserve them if you want to get in on the ground floor.

The 24-inch iMac Apple’s new M3 app is back with a modest update, offering a much lower barrier to entry. The all-in-one desktop comes in seven colors and starts at $1,299 with an eight-core GPU, eight-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. (It can be outfitted with a 10-core GPU starting at $1,499.) In terms of ports, it’s similar to 2021’s M1 version, meaning the base model has two Thunderbolt / USB-4 ports, while the $1,499 model gets an extra pair. USB-3 ports. Both configurations now support Wi-Fi 6E.

Ding-dong! Touch Bar is dead. We have a new base model 14-inch MacBook Pro M3 Thank you for that. This new entry point in the MacBook Pro line takes the chassis of the previous two models, cuts down on RAM and adds a base M3 chip to keep the price down. (Previous models only had Pro and Max-series chips.) It replaces the space-starved MacBook Pro 13 with an M2 chip and its dated Touch Bar.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 starts at $1,599 — $400 less than the M3 Pro-equipped MacBook Pro, which shares its body design. It is now available for pre-order Apple, Amazon, Best buyAnd B&H photoExpected arrival date is 7th November.

Apple is pumping out chips again 14-inch And 16-inch MacBook Pro, both of which now start with M3 Pro chips and build up to the higher-end M3 Max. Aside from the new fingerprint-resistant Space Black color, the high-end laptops are very similar in design and port layout to the M1 Pro models that first rocked the MacBook Pro landscape in 2021.

Like previous generations, the 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,999 (pre-order Apple, Amazon, Best buyOr B&H photo) with the M3 Pro chip, the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro starts at $2,499 (pre-order Apple, Best buy, AmazonOr B&H photo) and both models are set to land on November 7, with M3 Max configurations arriving at an undisclosed date in November.
