Quick As A Wink's A Christmas Carol enchants audiences with timeless tale

WINDSOR, N.S. — There's still time to book tickets to see Quick As A Wink Theatre's musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

The timeless classic, set in the early 1800s in London, England, tells a tale of redemption for Ebenezer Scrooge — a prosperous curmudgeon who, after experiencing a restless Christmas Eve, discovers the true meaning of wealth.

The musical stars Steve Roe as Scrooge, Justin Brown as Jacob Marley, Dylan Salmon as Bob Cratchit and Sawyer Brown as Tiny Tim. Olivia Lee was enchanting as the Ghost of the Past, Logan Levesque was larger than life as the Ghost of the Present, and Francesca Cornetta was creepily good as the Ghost of Yet to Be.

Quick As A Wink's show features the acting talent of more than 40 thespians, plus a pit band of 10 musicians and a number of people working behind the scenes.

There are four shows remaining: Dec. 8-9 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 9-10 at 2 p.m. The musical is at the Fountain Performing Arts Centre at King's-Edgehill School. Tickets cost $20 for adults; $12 for children; $16 for students and seniors.

The 2018 season will feature The Drowsy Chaperon in January, The Mousetrap in March, Seussical The Musical in June and Shrek: The Musical in October. Season passes cost $70. Tickets for all shows are available at
