Chicken recalled due to possible listeria contamination

TRURO, N.S. —

Chicken meat sold under a variety of brand names has been recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Affected products were sold under the names of  Tip Top Poultry Inc., Reuven International Ltd., Sysco and AlimPlus Inc. and came in 4, 4.54 and 13.64 kilogram packages, with the pack date of 07/29/19.

The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results.
