The Pixel 9 leaks with a pink hue [Gallery]

Ahead of its launch in just a few weeks, more Pixel 9 leaks help confirm what Google’s latest flagship series will bring to the table. Now, some new renders of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL offer a clear look at both devices, in which the pink color is not as pictured earlier.

On that day Shared by Sudanshu Ambor on Twitter/X Two official renders of the alleged Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 Pro and XL look almost identical visually, but it’s hard to know for sure if the device is bigger compared to the picture canvas.

Either way, the renders here line up perfectly with the images Google officially released last week. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is pictured in its “ceramic” color with a matte finish across the camera bar. Same goes for the regular Pixel 9, this time in a pink color variant.

Interestingly, both devices seem to have the same finish on the glass back, even though countless past leaks have shown the basic Pixel 9 with a glossy back panel. It can come from a render. Google’s renders of the glossy Pixel 8 look matte until viewed from different angles.

The pink color pictured this time is darker than expected, as a leak last month showed the Pixel 9 Vibrant Pink color. This new look is more realistic than what we’ve come to expect from Google, but that could all come down to lighting or how the camera captures the device.

This color joins the previous leak of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, where the earbuds were said to get a “Raspberry” color variant. Previously, the codenames were called “Peony” for the pink variation, but the codenames did not always line up with the final marketing names. For example, “Peony Rose” and “Jade” were used in the Pixel 8 series, but the final names for those colors ended up being “Rose” and “Mint”. So it’s entirely possible that the “Peony” Pixel 9 will be sold as “Raspberry” this year. But, as with any leak, it’s hard to know for sure which one is completely accurate.

Google is all set to officially launch the Pixel 9 series on August 13.
