Parents, students and community members were entertained May 2-4 with Brooklyn District Elementary School's rendition of Beauty and the Beast Jr.

Featuring the talents of about 50 young thespians and a sizable student choir, the audience was treated to the classic 18th-century fairy-tale made famous by Disney in 1991.

The main cast featured Jonah Innes (Prince/Beast), Paige Parker (Belle), Tyler Turner (Maurice), Katie Meehan (Cogsworth), Brody Rick (Lumiere), Olivia Lee (Mrs. Potts), Miranda Young (Chip), Megan Dunn (Babette), Mackenzie Robarts (Mme. de la Grande Bouche), Colton Harvey (Monsieur D'Arque), narrators Danielle Harvey and Austin O'Donnell, Alainna Miller (Enchantress/Old Woman), Dawson Gee (Gaston), Tanner Campbell (Lefou), and the Silly Girls — Aurora Foote, Erika Rudolph, and Madison Trefry.
