Springtime Menus:

(NC) With some concern recently about high fructose corn syrup, did you know that Crown Golden corn syrup does not contain high-fructose-corn-syrup? It is therefore, a great choice to brown meats. Simply brush it on fish and roast for about 10 minutes at 350 to 375 º F degrees (180 to 190 °C) until the fish is flaky, or on chicken, pork, and turkey just before, or during roasting. The browning will occur during the last few minutes and this glaze can also be brushed on chicken, pork or turkey. To add various flavours, spice blends can be stirred into the corn syrup before brushing on meat.
