Waterfront Skatepark

The Windsor waterfront was alive with activity Oct. 27 as the grand opening celebrations for the Waterfront Skatepark were held. Dignitaries from Windsor and West Hants, plus parents, skaters, volunteers, supporters and curious onlookers gathered for the afternoon party. Helmet use is required at the new skatepark, and free helmets were being handed out that day. (Photos by Carole Morris-Underhill)

Zela and Fred Hemeon, of Lower Sackville, were presented with Not Just A Skater Kid t-shirts for their continued support of the skateboard park. The couple often donate their sound system for the group’s fundraising efforts.
