Avalanche lose last home game

In Avon View’s last home game of the season, the Avalanche managed to get on the scoreboard but couldn’t win against the mighty Halifax West Warriors.

The final score was 28-8.

Avon View’s lone touchdown came from a 25-yard pass from quarterback Cory Whitney to Trevor House.

AJ Whitehead was a dominant player for the Avalanche, playing both offense and defense. He had 10 carries for 80 yards and recorded 15 tackles.

Matt Brison had eight carries for 70 yards while Whitney passed four for eight and had seven carries for 40 yards.

Defensively, Lucas Holleman had a sack and six tackles and Kyle Isnor recorded eight tackles.

Of the eight games played this season, Avon View won one and lost seven, for a total of two points in the overall rankings for the Scotia Division.

The first round of Scotia Division playoff match ups will be held this weekend and Avon View will be hitting the road to take on Cole Harbour.
