KENTVILLE, NS – The Valley Regional Hospital Foundation is celebrating the season with supporters, community members and hospital staff at the Festival of Lights.

This year’s Festival of Lights celebration is being held in the Cornwallis Inn ballroom in Kentville on Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. The celebration includes musical entertainment from Wolfville singer-songwriter Sarah Pound. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a chance to win a door prize.

The goal of the 2017 Festival of Lights campaign is to raise $120,000 in support of vital pieces of equipment that will benefit both patients and staff: 25 ceiling lifts that will help thousands of patients and care team staff prevent injury and promote movement.

One way to support the campaign is to purchase a poinsettia for $20 to help decorate the hospital lobby for the holiday season. Before Christmas, the poinsettias can be taken home or left for patients to enjoy.

For more information on poinsettia purchases, the Festival of Lights event or the foundation’s new campaign, call 902-678-5414 or visit www.vrhfoundation.ca.
