LETTTER: Injured Windsor RCMP officer grateful for community support

None

I wish at this time to thank the Town of Windsor and the people of Hants County for the kindness that was shown to me and my family while I have been recuperating from the injuries that I sustained from the accident while I was on duty Sept. 20.

To the nurses and staff at the Hants Community Hospital, your care was second to none, and will never be forgotten.

To my co-workers and fellow members from other detachments and headquarters, your visits certainly made the time pass while I was a patient in the hospital.

To all of our friends and neighbours, the phone calls, food, visits and help with the children was most appreciated and made this situation much easier for everyone.

It’s at times like this when you are grateful to live in a small, tight-knit community, where people pull together to help one another.

I am happy to say that I am getting better and feeling stronger every day.

We have accepted a transfer to another community and will be leaving mid-November so I am taking this opportunity to thank everyone as it would be impossible to thank you individually.

Once again, your support and kindness will never be forgotten by me, or my family.

Steve Pinksen (and family, Sharla, Sharlie, Russell, and Ryder),

Windsor
