Breathalyser offence

Jacob Bruce Lightfoot, 34, of South Berwick, has been fined for having a blood alcohol concentration that was equal to or exceeded the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Lightfoot pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 13. Judge Christopher Manning fined Lightfoot $2,000 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Lightfoot committed the offence in Habitant on June 8. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Lightfoot gave breathalyser readings of 150 and 140.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to do so was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was withdrawn on Aug. 13.

Mark Gordon Myers, 64, of New Minas, has been fined for having a blood alcohol concentration that was equal to or exceeded the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Myers pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 13. Judge Christopher Manning fined Myers $1,000 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Myers committed the offence in New Minas on June 15. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Myers gave breathalyser readings of 110 and 100.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to operate it was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was withdrawn on Aug. 13.

David John Daniel Trueman, 34, of Bridgewater, has been fined for having a blood alcohol concentration that was equal to or exceeded the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Trueman pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 13. Judge Christopher Manning fined Trueman $2,000 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Trueman committed the offence in North Kentville on May 19. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Trueman gave breathalyser readings of 180 and 190.

A charge of operating a conveyance while his ability to do so was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was withdrawn on Aug. 13.
