Oscar Nominees 2024: See the Full List

Follow our live coverage 2024 Oscar Nominations.

The nominations for the 96th annual Academy Awards raised the definitive movie question of the season: Is it “Barbie” or “Oppenheimer?” We're still not quite sure because each of them got so many nominations (“Barbie” eight and “Oppenheimer” 13). However, using the word “Barbenheimer” would be another excuse for us.

Kyle Buchanan, The New York Times' awards-season columnist, predicted last year that because of so many good movies and impressive talent, it was hard to predict which film would win. In the big categories — Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress — he was right. “Oppenheimer,” “Barbie,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “The Holdovers” and “Poor Things” all received nominations in the Best Picture category, and most in all major categories.

Here is the full list of nominees.
